Who We Are

Welcome to Achievement House, Inc. (AHI) Website! We invite you to explore the menu of services that our agencies provide from Northern Santa Barbara County through the Central Coast up to Monterey County.

AHI & NCI Affiliates are both private non-profit agencies that merged in 2003, with AHI being a wholly owned subsidiary of NCI. Though each agency has its own identity, both have a single focus of promoting independence and inclusion for adults with intellectual/physical disabilities through vocational training, educational and adaptive living skills programs, advocacy, and supported living services. Person centered thinking is paramount in our philosophy, along with the responsibility of following accreditation standards set by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, our agencies take pride in making sure we are improving the lives of the adults we serve.

Our motto of “creating choices and building partnerships” in each community we are in has allowed NCI and AHI to operate a variety of contracts and businesses that showcase our commitment to public service and stakeholders at large. We are so grateful to the community members of each region we operate in for the support to our mission. So, enjoy exploring the many program opportunities that are offered at NCI and AHI. We are hopeful that you will find a service that can meet your personal or professional needs or donate to our shared vision of giving a hand up!
